One officer claimed minor injuries after he and two of his colleagues were kicked by Ryan Russell Webster, on Piper Lane in Bristow around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, police in Prince William County said.

Webster was charged with three counts of assault and battery on a police officer, one count of obstruction of justice, and one count of intoxicated in public, police said.

Police were initially called to the scene to investigate an assault. There, they found Webster, who was drunk and matching the suspect description.

While searching Webster, he "actively resisted and kicked multiple officers while refusing to follow their commands," PWC police said.

Eventually, officers were able to get Webster inside a police cruiser, and one officer reported minor injuries. Webster was jailed and held without bond.
